SPORTS FAN LANDS DREAM JOB
FIRST PROFESSIONAL FAN LINES OUT FOR THE MAGNERS LEAGUE
The country’s first professional ‘spokesfan’ was unveiled today by the Magners League. Dublin man Conor Galvin tackled off stiff competition to win this sports fans’ dream job. Over the coming months Conor will be providing a behind-the-scenes look at the Magners League; fly on the wall commentary; unseen footage and exclusive interviews with players and fans alike.
Marcus Goodwin, Brand Manager, Bulmers said, “The Magners League Pro-Fan will be attending Magners League matches across the season, touring throughout Connacht, Leinster and Munster to bring all the excitement from both on and off the pitch to fans in Ireland. Conor was selected for this job for his charismatic nature, his passion for sport and following a tough interview process, we are confident that he will truly bring fans the stories and footage that they want.”
The new Magners League Pro-Fan Conor, added; “When I read about the opportunity to become a Magners League Pro-Fan I just had to go for it. The interviews were really tough but as a fan, I felt I knew what other fans would want to see and hear and I adopted a strategy of telling it like it was. I’ve already kicked off with my first blog, www.magnersleagueprofan.wordpress.com and I can promise an action packed-season of inside reporting, that will bring the great game of rugby to a whole new level. I hope to appeal not only to fans of rugby and sport but also, to a whole new audience that is interested in rugby life beyond the 80 minutes on the pitch and online updates.”
Not only will Conor be bringing fans behind the scenes pre and post match footage and interviewing some of Ireland’s rugby experts and legends, he would also like to hear from fans and clubs about their own rugby stories and events.
