Float Like A Butterfly Triumphant In The Bulmers Sports Tonight Quiz 2008

Over one hundred of the country's top sporting brains battled it out in Searsons Bar, Dublin, on Sunday (25th May) in the nailbiting final of the Bulmers Sports Tonight Quiz 2008 in association with the Star.
The fantastic prize of a trip to the European Championships 2008 and a fabulous crystal Bulmers Sports Tonight Quiz trophy was won by Float like a Butterfly from Dublin. MC'd by TV3's Sports Tonight host, Trevor Welch, the fi nal welcomed ex-Irish international sporting heroes John Aldridge and Jason McAteer.
A high standard of sporting questions, covering numerous sports from cricket to baseball was set by TV3 and the Star's sports experts. The winning team, which also won in 2005 and 2006, had a score of 57 out of 64 - missing only 7 questions throughout the quiz!
The team captain of Float like a Butterfly, Lorcan Duff, said "We are very excited to be going to the European Championships 2008! It is an absolutely fantastic prize. The standard was much higher this year and we have had such a great time participating that we have come back each year and all our hard work has paid off again."
